Isaiah Wang is a senior undergraduate at the University of Miami studying Computer Science and Marine Science, with minors in Mathematics, Marine Policy, and Mechanical Engineering. In the lab, he works on analyzing biological carbon flux in the Southern Hawaiian Ocean using BGC-Argo float data, focusing on particle flux inferred from backscattering measurements. He is also developing a machine learning approach to reconstruct and predict particle flux patterns from these datasets. In addition to this project, he is collaborating with Jomphol on the development of a fully automated sulfate/thiosulfate detection system for oceanographic chemical analysis.
